Is Mike Anderson a good hire?

A Plan to Coach Hogs
It seems to me that if speculations are true it only makes good sense. Mike Anderson now lives in Missouri and has had plenty of chances to leave. Mike coaches the tigers at around 1.55 million dollars a year. Two years ago Mike was offered 2 million at Georgia and last year was rumored to be offered even more at Oregon. If rumors are true that he and Arkansas are close to a deal this was the plan. The Ozark Mountains do extend into Missouri and feels a lot like home but Mike must think Arkansas is home. Turning down all that money would be hard for anybody. So if it is the case how much would it take to sign Anderson? I will guess over 2 million and as much as 3million. So was this the plan the entire time? I believe it was if in fact Mike comes home.

ReplyDeleteCome on back home Mike, the water is fine.
ReplyDeleteStay in Missouri. We need a proven Coach.
ReplyDeleteCome back home Mike. The past is history and show them what today brings.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to get back to the 40 minutes of hell! would be great to have you back HOME..
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you wish for.......
ReplyDeleteWe dont need more racism like Nolan because we are still reaping it just to maybe win few games.
ReplyDeleteNo No No all NCAA is still looking at us because of Racism that Nolan brought in here
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Jeff Long is looking at ALL candidates for this job, and there may be more than we know. Let's enjoy the game, we'll know soon enough.
ReplyDeleteIMHO, Mike Anderson is NOT the coach to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to the promised land, i.e. another national championship. At best, he is a mediocre coach that has not accomplished much beyond getting a team to the elite eight. We have great athletes, so does every other team in the country right now! I truly believe Arkansas can do better hiring another coach!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Mike would be an awful pick. I just think that there are better picks out there. Look at the intensity in a Buzz Williams for example. I like Buzz.
